Good question. I was licensed in 1996. I really wanted to be licensed sooner than that but I wanted to wait until my youngest child was a bit older as I knew if I wanted to be successful that I would have to commit a lot of my time outside regular working hours.

Right now, my role models are my two team members. They continue to work hard on a daily basis to grow our team.
4. What keeps you busy away from real estate?
Is that actually possible? Seriously, in this business one needs to be very pro-active about time off. When I’m in the City I work, work, work, although I am finding time to spend with my new grandson. I also like to hop a plane for a few days and visit with my daughter and family in Vancouver. I am also a proud Rotarian which means weekly meetings and commitments for raising money
5. Who or what motivates you?
There are days when the work piles up and it can be hard to stay motivated. Our clients are some of the friendliest easy going people around which make it much easier to stay motivated. The team members also do a great job in helping me stay motivated.
7. What’s the most challenging aspect of your career?
Never feeling that I am ever caught up. That can be a good thing, it means that our team is busy helping people buy and sell homes.
8. What’s your favourite spot in Calgary?
That’s easy. My backyard. I live on the Lake in Lake Bonavista. The view never gets tiring.

I have been working by myself for many years. Working by yourself there can be many struggles, like who do I talk to when I have real estate concerns or how do I take time off when there are clients who depend on me to get the job done. I now have team members who I can trust, bounce ideas off and learn from. Together we are developing a very strong reliable team with product that we are very proud of.
